The Government of the Kingdom of Norway and the Republic of Malawi established diplomatic relations decades ago and the two countries have ever since enjoyed cordial relationship. The Norwegian Embassy in Lilongwe is responsible for carrying out official and diplomatic communication between the two governments, as well as overseeing development co-operation between Norway and Malawi.
